There have been great improvements from previous versions, including greater video compatibility, additional live capture options from IP and USB cameras, improved Tagging and a new TeamPro Data version that integrates a data reader so you can import data and display from GPS, Heart Rate, Force Plate and other devices.
Unique in its approach, the Global Coaches House will not only provide a meeting and focal point for the coaches and coaching organisations of the world as they attend the London Games, but also to business professionals and corporations sharing the growing interest in applying principles of sport coaching to the needs of their organisations and their own professional development.
We will be there at the Dartfish Performance Analysis Suite to demonstrate the various technologies that make up the complete analysis solution, that includes video capture with high-speed and IP cameras, integration with external devices such as Heart Rate Monitors and GPS units, and the upload to online mobile viewing platform, dartfish.tv. We will be sharing the unique experience Dartfish have gained from working with over 500 Olympic medalists from around the world, as well as learning from guest speakers and visitors during the Games.
The Global Coaches House will open each morning at 8am from 27th July to 12th August for an informal Hot Topic Breakfast, this will be followed by two Games Ready Coach Programme Sessions, a Work Out Lunch and an evening Masterclass.
Guest Speakers include: Dean Benton, Athletic Performance Director at Brubies Rugby; Frank Dick OBE, President of the European Athletics Coaches Association; Dr Scott Drawer, Head of Research & Innovation at UK Sport; Vern Gamebtta, Director of Gambetta Sports Training Systems, considered the father of Functional Sports Training; and Kelvin Giles, world-renowned for his knowledge of Athletic Development.

Today sees this year’s NFL scouting combine draw to a close. Over the last 5 days, 300 of the hottest prospects in American Football have been put through their paces as they look to secure a lucrative contract in the professional ranks for next year.
The combination of physical and mental assessment, combined with intense media scrutiny, proved a real challenge to some of the celebrity names entering the draft. Notably, this year’s Heissman Trophy winner and star quarterback for Auburn, Cam Hamilton, failed to ignite and his stock is likely to take a tumble in the lead-up to April 28th.
However, others really stepped up to the plate and seized their opportunity to impress the watching world. Julio Jones, Alabama’s towering wide receiver, cemented his place as a favourite to be one of the hottest picks as he posted the longest standing jump and the third fastest 40-yrd sprint time. In this first clip, NFL analysts use Dartfish Stromotion technology to illustrate the enormity of Jones’ leap, highlighting huge power base.
In this second clip we see Jones’ sprint compared, using Dartfish Simulcam, with the other fastest 40-yrd times of the week. An impressive performance for a man who tips the scales at nearly 16 stone. Astonishingly, Jones subsequently revealed that he completed the week with a fractured foot and is going straight into surgery following the combine, a truly amazing achievement but will the prospect of a spell on the sidelines hamper his chances of being a top pick in the draft? All will be revealed on 28th April in New York City.
