Dartfish Version 6 has seen some rapid development with the 4th release of improvements hitting us last week. One of the more interesting new features is the integration with the free Jumi Remote App for iOS devices such as iPad and iPhone. For a long time, Dartfish was shipped with a traditional infra-red remote allowing users to control the software from a distance of up to 10m. This, however, required a clear line-of-sight, an infra-red receiver and 2 additional pieces of kit to keep hold of. The new development requires just a W-Fi network and your phone! You can control all of the In The Action features from Recording to Live Delay, Overlays, Reference Clips, Playback and a lot more, from anywhere on the network. Installation instructions below.
REQUIREMENTS:
• iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
• Laptop/PC with Wi-Fi connection
• Dartfish Software 6
PC/LAPTOP INSTALLATION
• Launch InstallJumi.exe and follow the on-screen instruction to install the controller Software (Jumi Controller’s Icon should appear in the Windows system tray)
• The first time Jumi Controller runs, you are required to supply a master password: Any password can be entered – the same password will later be used to connect your iPhone to your PC. Click ‘Save’ to finalize the controller configuration.
• Double-click Dartfish6_Remote.zip.JumiTAP.jumi. A ‘file imported successfully’ message should appear confirming that Jumi is now customized for Dartfish.
MOBILE DEVICE
• Visit the app store, search for ‘jumiremotes’, download and install the app
Mobile device configuration
• Important : Make sure your PC/Laptop and your mobile device are connected to the same wireless network
• Launch the Jumi remotes app, you should see your PC listed
• If your PC is not found automatically, tap ‘Add’ in Jumi on your iPhone and enter the same values that appear in the Jumi Controller on your PC
• Enter the master password you created previously, and select ‘Login’ or ‘Login & Save’ if you want to save the password for future logins
