The start of the 2012 London Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games is approaching rapidly.
The International Council for Coach Education (ICCE) has partnered up with Leeds Metropolitan University, Limkokwing University and WDR to bring together the best of Olympic Sport for a comprehensive programme of activities aimed at promoting the sharing of experiences and knowledge between coaches and coach developers from all over the world at this very special time.
Unique in its approach, the Global Coaches House will not only provide a meeting and focal point for the coaches and coaching organisations of the world as they attend the London Games, but also to business professionals and corporations sharing the growing interest in applying principles of sport coaching to the needs of their organisations and their own professional development.
We will be there at the Dartfish Performance Analysis Suite to demonstrate the various technologies that make up the complete analysis solution, that includes video capture with high-speed and IP cameras, integration with external devices such as Heart Rate Monitors and GPS units, and the upload to online mobile viewing platform, dartfish.tv. We will be sharing the unique experience Dartfish have gained from working with over 500 Olympic medalists from around the world, as well as learning from guest speakers and visitors during the Games.
The Global Coaches House will open each morning at 8am from 27th July to 12th August for an informal Hot Topic Breakfast, this will be followed by two Games Ready Coach Programme Sessions, a Work Out Lunch and an evening Masterclass.
Guest Speakers include: Dean Benton, Athletic Performance Director at Brubies Rugby; Frank Dick OBE, President of the European Athletics Coaches Association; Dr Scott Drawer, Head of Research & Innovation at UK Sport; Vern Gamebtta, Director of Gambetta Sports Training Systems, considered the father of Functional Sports Training; and Kelvin Giles, world-renowned for his knowledge of Athletic Development.
The Global Coaches House will be hosted by Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, 106 Piccadilly, London.
